About Kosha

Kosha Foundation is a non- profit organization, which works for environmental preservation, combats existential issues like climate crisis, pollution, animal cruelty and poverty.  In its fight against poverty, the team in Kosha works tirelessly in providing food and education to the downtrodden children of society. We started this journey in 2019 in a relentless pursuit to bring about positive changes to the environment and society. Today, we run a school for the underprivileged children of society in Gurgaon, fight for environmental best practices, execute river cleaning and tree plantation drives, run women empowerment initiatives and advocate animal welfare schemes.

Kosha was set up by Mr. Amit Kumar, as a platform to serve. The spirit of Kosha was thus based on service and it developed as the focal point from which stemmed each of their activities. Kosha’s services are broadly categorised under two verticals – 1. Service to humanity and 2. Service to the planet.

Under Service to humanity, Kosha runs a school for the under-privileged children in Gurgaon. These 80+ students were picked from red-light areas and other barren streets of the city where these pure souls were dumped to fend for their own. Besides this school, Kosha runs Women Empowerment schemes and meals for the needy. Our initiative KRIYA, has branched out of this particular vertical.

Under Service to the planet, the organization advocates and spreads best practices to thwart global warming and other crises arising out of pollution, prevents and fights against environmental threats, organizes river cleaning drives, promotes hygiene and initiatives aimed at waste disposal, as a means to serve the planet.
